Zanzibar

Big on this place. Really big.  It's, like, my new favorite spot.

Bali was nice.  Florida blows.  Phuket gorgeous.  Ã‡esme, meh.  Florida still blows.  I still have love for the Big Island, but Zanzibar was something else.

Stone Town is the commercial center.  Beautiful doors.

Most of the nice hotels are there, but not the nice beaches.

I spent my time there on the east coast.  The sand is so fine and soft when it's wet it squishes between your toes, Like Oobleck in Mrs. Miller's Class 9th grade.  Women farm seaweed in the mornings, the water is a perfect temperature, and a cool breeze is always undulating off the sea.

The best part, though, is the tide goes out about a half mile.

It's really quiet and relaxing.  There was a party up the beach from us but other than that there was nothing going on.  We got some scotch and champagne at duty free in Kenya and had a delightful time.  We stayed in little huts with mosquito nets for about $15-$20/night.

www.hostelworld.com.  Bam.

According to my good friend The British Douchebag, far right, the north coast is apparently the most lively place.

So much Blue Steel, I can't take it.

I've not been, but I will ask him more about the area.

I'm so stoked that you guys are really getting into this.

I am also stoked that George is posting naked chicks.  As much as things have changed since high school, it's nice to know I can still count on George for boobs.

Much love.

I really hope...

the view from the plane looks a lot like this.
200-300 sounds okay. Anything sounds good for a place on the beach. You were right to assume that I would be confused.

On another note, my boss walked past when I checked the blog today. She thinks the risque pictures are...beautiful.

to clarify

Thats for each of us...200-300 for each of us, for a week of housing. Some less, some right between.

Which I think compared to hotels is really reasonable...but want to make sure I didn't confuse anyone
